WES18 & WES30 (Wind Energy Solutions)
Sol-vent Energy Ltd offer 80kW and 250kW wind turbines from the long established Dutch manufacturer, Wind Energy Solutions.
These are both twin bladed upwind machines using computerised yawing systems and power control to ensure maximum energy capture at all times.
The WES18 and WES30 are well tried and tested products with over 1,000 installations world wide, and Sol-vent Energy Ltd is very pleased to be offering these in the UK.
The 250kW WES30 is ideally suited to the more power hungry needs of larger farms, community projects, council premises and commercial properties, generating approximately 300 - 400,000kWh per year on an typical site, and more in windier locations.
The WES30 is normally supplied on an 40m free standing tower and thereby maximising the energy available from this larger machine and connects to a three phase supply.
Guide Prices
The table below gives estimated full project costs including feasibility and planning for the WES 18 or WES 30 on the various tower options. The cost of foundations, installation, cabling and grid connection can however vary considerably depending on the location and existing infrastructure and a feasibility study is always required to supply a more accurate cost estimate of your project. The taller towers will always enable more energy generation and will normally provide a better return on investment, but planning and space constraints may limit the maximum tower height you can have. The price of the WES turbine is also subject to currency exchange changes between the Euro and the UK Pound. All prices exclude VAT.
| 18m | 24m | 30m | 39m | 48m | |
| WES 18 | £245,000 | £265,000 | £280,000 | £300,000 | |
| WES 30 | £585,000 | £620,000 | £650,000 |

Feasibility Study
The site specific requirements for turbines of this size need detailed investigation before a decision to go ahead should be considered, or a planning application submitted.
The first stage of your project would be for Sol-vent Energy Ltd to produce a Medium Wind Desktop Feasibility Study FREE OF CHARGE this will enable us to establish if it is a viable choice for you.
When you proceed to a full feasibility study a member of Sol-vent Energy Ltd staff will visit your site and using a number of different techniques will assess all aspects of your proposed location for a medium sized wind turbine. A detailed report will be generated and sent to you.
You will be sent the completed report and a full project estimate of costs within a few weeks of the visit.
Sol-vent Energy Ltd make a modest charge of £3,490 + VAT (WES18) or £4,490 + VAT (WES30) for this feasibility study. Please contact Sol-vent Energy Ltd should you wish to arrange a visit.
